K’s banana nut bread

2-1/2  cups		all purpose sifted flour
3  teaspoons		tps baking powder
1/2  teaspoon		salt
1  cup		sugar
1/4  cup		soft butter or margarine
1		egg beaten
1  cup		mashed ripe bananas about 3 small
1/2  cup		milk
1  cup		coarsely chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan
Sift flour and baking powder and salt - set aside
In medium bowl beat sugar, butter and egg until smooth
Add bananas, milk mixing well. Add flour mixture beating until smooth, stir in the nuts
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake about 1 hour or until tester, inserted into the center, comes clean
Let bread cool in pan about 10 minutes when cool enough transfer to a wire rack.
To serve slice into approximately 12 slices. serving-1 slice
