Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F

Mix flour, baking soda, cocoa, and salt in a medium sized bowl. Set aside.

Cream sugar, vanilla, and margarine, or regular butter if desired, in a large bowl.

Add applesauce to the sugar, vanilla, and butter mixture.

Slowly mix dry mixture into wet, about two large spoonfuls at a time, at most.

Once the dry mixture is fully incorporated, mix in the olive oil and milk.

Spoon and spread mix into a 9 by 13 in baking pan, no smaller or similarly sized.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, do not over bake. Adjust time if using a different pan size and watch closely.
