The plan is based on walking at a moderate pace of 3 MPH on a level, firm surface. Using the average step total of 2000 steps per mile, at this pace you will cover 3 miles / 6000 steps per hour and 21 miles / 42,000 steps per week.

Workout routine comments

Hi everyone, i am a 32 yr old nursing student and my last day of class for the semester was yesterday, i always gain weight when i am in school, so now i am trying to shed the pounds and keep it off...hopefully i can stay focused...there is a track near my house so hopefully i will be able to take advantage of it and walk daily...i hope it works...goodluck everyone

i am 37 years old and 234 pounds, that is a lot of " burden " on my feet and in my heart.....hey but i am hopeful and that feels great.... its going to be a fun journey to my new self.....

I am 59 years old and have been married 38 years and gained a few pounds a year until it got out of hand. I carrie most of my weight around my waste and I know this is bad for my heart. My husband is also a diebetic and we have been walking for about a year but his tests are sneeking up and so yesterday we joined a gym. We will see how this works.
