50TH TIMES A CHARM

I don't know you or anything, but I can identify with that thinking. However, I have made it my goal to learn to take myself as I am and understand that those who truely love me love me for who I am as well. I can pinpoint the turning point for me. It was when I was 23 and my son was two years old and all I ever did was torture myself becuase I wasn't thin enough (aka good enough). I realized that I could do the same thing to myself every year and wish I was different. Bash myself against the rock when I didn't become different, and start the cycle over again until the day I die. Not living ever knowing what it is being content in my own skin. I have a book that is sort of my binge eating bible. It is called feeding the hungry heart by Jean Greer (may have spelled her name a bit wrong). I try to read and reread it periodically.
