Hola..yup, another newbie :)
Hi everyone..I found this site two days ago and I really like it. I am desperate need to get motivated and to STAY motivated! I found out that I have diabetes and I am now on meds. Which I knew was going to happen at some point if I didn't loose weight..(family history of diabetes) so, with that said...I am here to loose weight and start eating healthy...

So, how is everyone??

DIABETES runs deep
I too, have been diagnosed with diabetes, after a failed attempt to control with diet and exercise, here I am - looking for encouragement and motivation. My DNA wasn't going to let me be diabetes free my whole life, but now that I'm turning 50 this year, I am less willing to just accept medicines and side affects if I can control it. I have let my weight get out of control and that only makes things worse. I currently am suffering through a neck injury that limits my mobility which really sucks, so I will begin with diet only and add exercise as soon as I can. The biggest problem for me is that I HATE exercise - I just do. I don't mind going for a walk, and in good weather my husband and I walk all over the place, but we are in snow and wind season so that won't be happening either.

Same Here
I too have been diagnosed with diabetes, not on Meds yet because i was told boarder line and can control with weight loss and diet. Which is very hard to do. I am 52 and going through menopause so that just makes losing weight an uphill battle - but i keep trying and I also hate to work out - because I am fat and have a difficult time doing the exercises - I had a walking machine but it is broken now and I guess should be a new one - but it so much easier to sit and watch the exercises program then doing it. Help need to know some one is keeping me on track.
