How much protein is too much in a day?
I've lost a significant amount of weight on a low carb/low fat/higher protein plan, and am now in maintenance. The program suggests 20-24 oz of lean protein everyday, plus a couple of protein supplements. This adds up to about 190 g. of protein per day, and I weigh 143.
In reading up on the subject, it looks like you should not consume more than 1 g. of protein per pound of body weight, but I found lots of conflicting information on the internet. Does anyone know if that guideline is a safe guideline?

protein
I have heard similar advice and try to get my protein levels up to 1 g for every lb of my maintenance weight.
As far as too much protein, I have read that you don't want to go much above 30% of your total daily calories from protein. Here is a source for that suggestion...

Great Info
Thanks for the protein info. I try to get at least half of my goal weight a day.
