Here we go...

So, here I am, 20+ pounds over weight and ready to make a change. I never thought of my weight as a problem, for most of my life I was the skinny girl that could eat ANYTHING (literally, I spent one summer working at a Chilis and ate everything on the menu, including the 2800 calorie awesome blossom and LOST weight!) Well, something must have happened over time because I sit here now in front of the computer screen having my first major breakdown over my weight. BUT, I am not a complainer, Im a doer and I am starting today. (actually, I ran yesterday and the day before went on a 1 mile walk with my dog, but today I found this website, so we will just say today it starts)
The first question that comes to mind, is WHAT HAPPENED? is this the product of getting older? Have all my late night binge drinking sessions caught up with me? Or maybe its that I have a job where I sit at a desk for 8 hours instead of waiting tables. Prob a combination of all of these. Goal #1 just get up and work out....I read recently that there are 168 hours in the week and you only need 2.5 to get in better shape. Lets see, 45 hours a week at work...leaves 123...56 hours sleeping (in a good week!)...leaves 67....Im sure I can find time in my OH SO busy schedule to fit in the 2.5 hours out the the 67 I have avalible to me. Goal #2 eat better. This goal will have to be eased into for the time being, as I can't really afford to get new groceries this week. I can however eat a salad before every meal and try to find options with less calories. Like this morning, for example, I had 2 pieces of pizza for breakfast-NO GOOD- that was 520 calories right there, in a delicious little pizza pie. Maybe tomorrow reach for the Special K instead.
I am excited about my new life and what will be the best year ever!!
