Today is Day 2 and so far it's been a great day. :) I ran for 20 minutes on the treadmill at the gym. I know it's not much, but I'm trying. It wasn't a full run, I'm doing the C25K program so it was interval training. But it's a start. I should've done it for half an hour but I didn't really have the time today. At least I was able to do the 20 min. On the way home from visiting my grandfather in the hospital I noticed a bag on the driver's side door. I looked in it and there are Fritos there. I forgot that I had bought some a while ago and hadn't eaten them yet. So I stuck them in the door and forgot about them. I'm very proud of myself for not eating even a single one. It was tempting but I kept on telling myself that on my "cheat day" I'll have some. Before that I think I'll just ignore them or maybe stick them somewhere that I won't see them. The car is a tempting place because I used to love to eat when I drove. I'm glad I didn't eat any. It's a small victory in what I hope are a long line of victories. As for the rest of my day, I did really well with eating. I like having 6 small meals a day. I'm never really hungry and so I'm not as tempted to eat junk. Thankfully, other than the chips in the car, I don't have any junk around. So when it comes time for something like a mid morning or mid afternoon snack I have only healthy choices. Tomorrow I'm going food shopping. I have a list of what I want to buy and some things the rest of the family wants. I'm not buying any junk and everyone is OK with that. My husband wants to get back into shape too. My girlfriend isn't really all that into junk food to begin with. The kids, well they like healthy stuff almost as much as junk food so they'll be fine. :D
