I'm doing pretty well so far. By giving myself a calorie limit of 1700 and being mindful of what I eat and my portions I'm so able to do 5-6 meals a day. It's funny but my body is getting used to eating so often. I was going to skip my afternoon snack because I had such a large morning snack (wanted the protein after I worked out). But sure enough at around 2:30 my belly started to growl and I was hungry. So I had some fruit. Just enough to hold me over till dinner. I'm so proud of myself. I mean I know it's only day 4 but I've been really good all 4 days. The big test will be this weekend. My husband feels that weekends should be OK for certain things like soda and chips. But to be honest I want to try and stay away from all junk as much as possible. I agree that sometimes it's a good idea to "cheat" a little and have something unhealthy once in a while. This way you don't wind up binging on crap and losing self control and motivation. But truth be told, I don't want to eat any junk. I'm totally OK with not having soda or chips or fast food. In a few weeks I might want chocolate but that's about it. One thing though, I can't believe how much my legs hurt. Yesterday was a lot of squats and today I ran. My legs hurt the most after sitting for a while. I think a really hot bath tonight is in order. I still haven't found my bathing suit or I would've gone into the hot tub at the gym.
