Day 2

Was an avid triathlete for over five years, then retired from the Coast Guard and fell off the planet! No dramatic weight gain, but am definitely out of shape.
Day two of reentry to taking care of myself. Weight training on the ultimate beginner plan is definitely manageable.
Swam 1200 yards today. Great to be in the pool, but what a reality check. Positive. I chose to swim instead of driving home after work. Feels great to press through.
Goal is to get in good shape for the local search and rescue team, provide an outlet for work stress, and to be a good steward of my body and the time God has given me on this earth.
