I've gotta change

This past weekend I attended a wedding in which one of my nephews were getting married.  Good times were had by all.  As the night went on I noticed that everyone in my family including myself is really overweight and have a bunch of health problems.  As the night went on, I noticed my older brothers and sisters (and a few neices and nephews) who were just sitting on the sidelines watching everyone else have fun because either they get out of breath too easily or they have some other ailement that would prevent them from doing anything.  I decided right then that I would nto be like the rest of my family.  I want to have too much fun with my son and sharing all of lifes experiences.  I want to go on those long hikes with my family and not taking 3 days to recover because I am too tired to go on.  I am tired of the belly jokes that my "friends" keep laughing at.

I remember my brother who died of cancer and how big he was and how he never really got to do a lot due to hiw weight.  I see my other brother who has had knee replacements and hip replacements and yet is still over 400 pounds.

I came to this site looking for something to help me journal my food online and via an iPhone.  By having this ability to log my food no matter where I am will be the first steps towards my goal of losing 90 pounds to reach my ideal weight.

I am hoping that my various health reasons will not deter me from reaching this goal.  Who knows maybe they will simply disappear as the weight disappears.

Wish me luck!!!
