Ok. Checking in for another day. I'm really enjoying this site. It helps me see that foods that I really thought were healthy are actually ooozing with gross FAT! I'm finding that even though I may not eat often all my choices are high calorie, high fat, high carbs, high sodium, and low protein choices. No wonder I'm as big as I am! This site has made me more aware. And I love that it helps hold me accountable. I find that now that I know I have to enter it in here and see all those bad things add up and see those ugly red x's I want to try to find the healtier things.
Something else I want to get out there for anyone who may actually read this, my diet problems. First and foremost is the fact that I am a manager at Wendy's. I am allowed to eat for free every shift. And, because I am a single mom of two girls who does not receive child support, I kinda have to take the free food where I can get it. I work full time and go to school part time/full time. So I also have a VERY hectic schedule. I am never home except for a few hours while my older daughter is in school. And that time is usually used burning off calories cleaning up the house. Lol!
I have started becoming more aware of sneaky ways to add a bit more exercise to my everyday routine. I dance in the car. I park farther back in the parking lots. I need to start using the stairs more but right now I'm dealing with problems with bursitis in my hip that makes going up or down stairs very painful. I do take my daughters out more. I took them to the beach the other night and we walked approximately 10 streets down and 10 streets back. I was pretty excited! Thinking I'm going to go hike Mt. Trashmore today after I drop the kids off with their dad. Or maybe the beach. Who knows. Walking on sand might be an option. Hhhhmmmmm.........
I bought a talking pedometer from Super K-Mart the other night. I love it!!! I found out I walk about 1,000 steps every day that I walk my daughter to and from her bus stop. I also found out I walk about 7,400 steps every night at work. I may need to readjust my exercise plan. They are only calling for 3,000 steps a day! 42,000 steps a week. Apparently I am way surpassing that each week. Is there a way of putting in the actual steps you take each day instead of just hitting I did this workout? That would be great so I can see exactly how far I'm walking each week.
It says I have lost 7.5 lbs I think. I know that's not accurate. I put in 300 lbs as the starting weight because that's what it was last time I had weighed myself. But apparently it was actually around 293. So I have gone from 293.5 to 291.9. Not a ton but a step in the right direction. Baby steps, right? Lol!
I'm hoping by this time next year to be riding all the rollercoasters at Busch Gardens WITH my daughter!! I don't actually hold myself to a pound goal just yet. Just if I could only get back on those rollercoasters!!! I really really miss my adrenaline addiction. Sigh!
