Creeks in the ocean. Surfers. A ladybug cemetery. Sand fleas! Professional photographer couple. Saved life of a grounded ladybug. 6 spots. Don't get too close to the whales! Tons of teenage tourists. Forgot it's sring break elsewhere. Teens playing volleyball. 2 girls, guitars, tye dye sweat shirts, and amazing voices. Hope to see them famous one day. Roller skates, not inline skates. Hackey sacks. Old school stuff. A whole chorus sitting on the ground around a guitar player singing Taylor Swift. 2 old ladies walking to workout. Cute dogs. Cute kids.
Glad I chose the beach for my walk tonight! Where else can you say you saw all these amaziing things? And I got to share my walk with the seagulls and the calming sound of the surf! The ocean always soothes me. Andthey say that lowering your stress levels can lower your weight also. So, hey, great things all around. Plus, with the sun, salty air, and walking next to the ocean, by the time I get home I can actually fall asleep at a decent time. (I tend to take forever falling asleep. Always been a night owl.)
I entered all my stuff into the diet tracker and exercise tracker. I really over did it on dinner tonight. Only ate twice today. But, due to lack of money, decided on all you can eat pizza for $5.51 instead of paying more for one meal. Maybe not a wise choice. But small steps. I did make a few of those while I was there. 1-Water instead of soda (cheap and healthy) 2-My deal with myself was that for every 1 plate of pizza I wanted I had to drink 1 glass of ice water and have 1 plate of salad (no croutons) with low cal italian dressing 3-No dessert tonight. Plus I didn't eat the crusts on the pizzas. I had way too many slices though. Baby steps!
My walk went really well. I walked 1.1 miles in 30 minutes on the sand/water one way. Then turned around and did 1.1 miles back on the boardwalk in 30 minutes. My muscles are still warm. Going to soak in a hot bath with epsom salts though. May have been a bit too much to start with. I did some stretches in between because my muscles around the bursitis in my hip are starting to really become painful. Hoping my Ibuprofren will help with that. I took it a bit late tonight though. Oh well, time for my soak! Hope everyone out there is doing well and getting healthy!
