So the green jealous monster in me has reared it's head this last week.  I have a friend of a friend that got liposuction.  Jealousy caused me to go as far as to schedule and ACTUALLY GO to a free consultation about liposuction for my lovely (ack...) lower half.  I don't really want the surgery solution - not knocking it at all for anyone that has done it - but I do want the instant results.  Let's just say that if I had a spare bit of cash, my saddlebags would be liquified mounds of fat goo in some surgical waste basket right now.

Buuuuut, I don't have that kind of cash at my disposal.  And deep down I know that (for me) a better solution would be to work hard and get the results the good old fashioned way.  Picture my left brain and right brain duking it out because that's what's happening.  While they were busy fighting, common sense came up with a solution.  For the next year, I will PAY myself for every mile I run or bike and earn the money.  $1 for every mile run, $0.50 for every mile biked.  If at the end of a year I still feel like I want to zap the fat off my ass, I will be able to but only if I've run enough to be able to pay for it.  A bonus might be that all the running will have solved the problem and I'll just be able to go on a clothing shopping spree instead.  Either way, it's a win-win.

I've decided to shoot for 15-20 miles a week.  I'm at about 6 now with minimal committment so if I really commit, I know I can do it.

Anyone want to join in with me and see how much money we can make for ourselves?  Happy earning!
