What a Week!

What a week this has been!

Last Friday afternoon, I fell off a porch flat on my back.  I remember my head bouncing once.  Next thing I hear is my husband screaming, "Oh, my God!"  I honestly don't know how long I was unconscious.  And since he was in a different shed than the one I wanted to look at, he didn't see me fall.  We went to the ER to make sure I didn't have a concussion.  I don't.  I did break my tailbone and I have severe whiplash and a really ugly scrape on the lower part of my leg.

And, to add insult to injury, I developed another boil this week.  This time on my buttocks which made the simple act of sitting or getting up extremely painful.  Needless to say, there hasn't been much exercising for me this week.

The boil ruptured yesterday while I was on a clear-liquid diet and feeling like I was starving to death.  I had my colonoscopy this morning.  They gave me a general anesthia and pain medication through an IV and then my gastroenterologist sent me home with two prescriptions: an antibiotic and a pain med.  I only asked for a shot to get me home and to bed (comforably).  I was surprised by the scripts.

I'm going to start my exercise program tomorrow.  Today, I'm still a bit groggy and I really don't want to do anything else to my body to harm it.

If you need some additional inspiration like I did this week, check out Celestial Seasonings weight loss plan.  They have before and after pictures of people who have lost anywhere from 75 to almost 300 pounds.  Truly inspiring!

After you're inspired, come on back home and look to see if you can make any adjustments to your plan to help with your journey.  Maybe you can add more exercises or more time to your current plan.  Maybe there's a favorite, high-calorie food that you're willing to sacrifice "for the greater good".  (heehee)  Whatever you can do, do it today!
