Accountability

Ok. So I've been a member on FitClick for probably over 2 years. I have lost 20 lbs, but have now put back on 40 or so. I just read my last blog entry from October, and I wasn't good at keeping my word. I've gained since October. Life is crazy and unpredicable... I am a part-time teacher, full-time mother of a one year old girl, and a wife to an amazing man. I am a friend to many, a daughter, a pianist, a cook... so many of the hats I wear take priority over this weight issue. But, in talking with a best girlfriend 2 days ago, we decided to have some accountability with that. So, here I am again. I am not sure that in another 6 months I won't have another 'renewed motivation' after gaining more weight. I can't make promises I won't keep, but it does feel good to be in control again. So, here's to organizing my life in a way that makes this work, in letting a few things go in order to lose the weight (laundry isn't put away and dishes aren't done as I write this, but oh well). My hubby and I took our daughter on a 4 mile bike ride tonight. It was wonderful. and I can't feel guilty about the housework. It was worth it. For those curious- I am starting this at 5'3'' and 205 lbs. My goal that I shared with my friend is to be down to 180 or so at the end of the summer. 160 by Christmas 2013. :) Blessings!
