I am 5'-7" and I weighed 104 lbs.when I got married! I weighed 130 bs. nine months pregnant! So how come 41 years later I weigh 170 pounds?
Part of the reason: lack of disciplne. Everyone tried to fatten me up. I didn't have to count calories. Another culprit: menopause. Add in age, thyroid issues, and less active lifestyle and there you are!
My strategy: I joined TOPS, started going dancing again, yoga and diet tracking.
I aim for 40% carbs and fat, and 20% protien; and 35+ g.of fiber. I eat mostly fresh fruits and veg, fish, eggs and nuts/seeds. Eating out presents a challege, live in small town with low budget. I just try to pick the best option and enjoy it!
Believe in eating real food, and moderate bodyweight exercises.
