The paper aims at analysing the activity of two American fitness clubs by reviewing their websites. The most popular fitness clubs in the USA are “24 Hour Fitness” and “The Fitness studio”. “24Hour Fitness” is a chain of fitness clubs all over the USA. Each club has a separate webpage, but their design remains the same, which is more convenient for customers.

Web site of the club “24 Hour Fitness” caughts customer’s attention. It its rather simple and has tags where other important information is listed. Despite the fact that this may sound quite obvious, but it is a known fact that such site is done purely for advertisements and background information about the facility. In this case, important information is visual and located in the central position, so a potential customer can understand what it takes to visit the place in the future. This is not the only address, as “24 Hour Fitness” is a chain of fitness clubs and a client may find the closest location unit to his request. The zip code search will help to find it. This function is generic to all websites of this branch.

A potential customer is really interested in facilities and services, which this fitness club may provide. The easiest way to understand how the place looks like is a photo gallery or clubs buy marketing essay in order to inform potential clients about peculiarities, which is present on the webpage. There are 15 main pictures that cover areas of the club such as the main entrance, reception area, cafe, kid’s room, hall for fitness activities such as yoga, workout units and areas where the equipment is based, swimming pool, restrooms, locker-room, sauna and shower area. Everything is tidy and clean. The most important that area designated for different types of activities are big, so it can fit more people. However, the club might be probably sometimes overcrowded if there is no special policy in place about attendance numbers. This information is not placed in the web site.

Payment is a separate topic. The website has a possibility to log in or register as a new user. This might help to get special offers or benefits, which is a good marketing move. They offer a customer to come for free once and then visit the club regularly if he likes it. Consumer can choose either multiple clubs or the current club asses. The monthly price for the first option is $99.99 and $97.99 accordingly. When I visited the webpage, I saw the promotional price of $79.99 per month. This was a good discount and beneficial move from the marketing point.

In order to help a consumer to make a decision, the short overview of fitness “24 Hour Fitness” clubs types is provided. There are different club amenities such as kid’s club, personal training, cardio equipment, group exercise classes and others. Classes are divided into active aging, cycling, dance, less mills, zumba, etc. Consumer is also offered a service of selection a personal trainer. Website gives an opportunity to review e-magazines, healthy recipes and even possibility to move to the e-store with fitness and health products.

Types of clientele here are varying considering that the place is huge and offers almost all kind of services. Both youth and older generations might find there something for them.

The advantage of this type of website is that a consumer can choose any location and any type of unit. The information is fully presented and easy of access. The time while surfing the webpage is not spent at waste considering that potential consumers have an opportunity to read some interesting e-magazines and articles. One negative thing of the club is that it does not look very cosy and might not help customer to feel at ease. The website of “24 Hour Fitness” is organized in a proper moderate manner and contains exact and useful amount of information.

“The Fitness studio” is much smaller facility and offers services rather than working units. It does not have such a variety of things as the previously mentioned fitness club. This does not have a chain of fitness clubs and is based in Connecticut. The first impression is that this type of facility is mainly for women considering its spectrum of services such as fitness, pilates, yoga and nutrition.

Once a consumer has clicked the link that leads to the page, he is immediately redirected to the home page and all started with the video. It was very interesting from the first few seconds, which really helped to dwell my attention to the website and continue my research. From the video, I understood that atmosphere there is very friendly, and their personnel wants to do their best to keep a customer happy. They are ready to be a second home for member, so you can feel free to exercise in the manner the best fits your needs. Just from the video I have understood that trainings can be in groups or individual. In general, I would mention this video at the beginning as a positive moment and good marketing move.

The impression of the webpage in general is positive. The amount of information is not that big, but at the same time all tags are visible, and I could surf without destruction and paying attention to unimportant data.

The basics include information about the presence of fitness equipment and state-of-the-art studio space. It is mentioned that all personnel is trained and have the proper certificates to run the classes. The introducing passage also has information about new things and implementations, such as RealRyder bikes and TRX Suspension Group Classes. This is beneficial for a customer as it is clear what specials were introduced recently in the club.

The list with available classes is properly listed along with the short descriptions. Those are Real Ryder Spin, Dance Evolution, Cardio FX, Interval Push, Energy Boost, Turbo Kick, Rebound Interval, Body Blast, Zumba, Barre Fusion, Pilates With A Beat, Kettle Balls and others. Yoga is divided into several areas such as Restorative/Gentle, Vinyasa, Power and Bikram Style. The scheduling page allows a client to see the available session, and there is an option of e-signing so the appointment can be done online. This is very convenient as the time management really matters nowadays. The club has separately Child Care Price Menu for the youngest generations.

Special tag is designed for price policy. The payment may vary and is based on what type is chosen. What is important is that the choice is huge. For example, customer may decide to take Yearly All Inclusive Membership worth $1,300. Still, if a person just wants to stay with the club for a month and attend only evening session of some classes this will cost $85.

The special webpage is allocated to Fitness events, which is also a good marketing move. This encourages people to continue the struggle to make their bodies fit and give more motivation as some good examples are provided.

To my mind the main clients there are women of middle age, probably housewives and part-time workers. The fact that there is Cardio FX is really important as nowadays lots of people suffer from heart-related diseases. I also think that there everyone feels himself as a part of one family, and this is very good as it helps to establish good relationships not only with a trainer and trainee, but between trainees. This is the main reason why people come back to such places and stay there for years.

To conclude, I would like to say that both the website and the club have attracted me. I would probably like to go to that place. The only significant minus is that the web site is dated 2012, and no information for 2013 is included. This makes to think that the place is probably closed, but I would still contact them as the information is given and clearly accessible.
