I love sushi! I could live on it. There are so many variations.
Some of the best sushi is homemade by oneself. Asian markets are popping up everywhere, making it easier to find once hard to get ingredients. Just think of the various foods you like. Veggies, sauces in moderation, some fruit, shrimp, fish and even chicken, if you want.
Getting the right mixture for the rice is important. I use a combination of sweet Japanese rice wine and seasoned rice vinegar. A little of each, it depends on the amount of rice.
The rice is important, too. Pearl rice is what I use and gives the best results. It is very sticky.
I may have a sushi party for my friends before school is out! Sounds like fun, huh?
