It has been several days since I posted. I was busy all weekend with my sons soccer. I know that is not an excuse, but I'm sticking to it.

I got a wild hair last week and decided that I was going to cut bread, crackers, and pasta out of my diet. It has been 9 days now. My goal is 21 days, since that is how long it takes to make or break a habit. With that, I am doing crunches, planks, some cardio, and eating more fruits and veggies.

I want to see a difference by the end of April. We are going on a trip and I need to buy a new dress for an awards dinner. I don't want to buy in my current size, so I made a change.

I am usually a planner. I don't plan to the detail, but I like to get a general idea. I joined several facebook pages about healthy eating, clean eating, weight loss, etc. I did that the beginning of Jan. After reading other peoples sucesses, what worked for them, encouraging, positive affermations, I dove right in. I tried the "I'll start on Monday" routine for YEARS! It obviously didn't work. So, last Tuesday I told myself that I wasn't going to eat any more bread for a while. I am still eating brown rice and potatoes. Baby steps.

I am telling people what I am doing. I am finding that if I tell people, I am holding myself accountable. When I tried to do it in secret, it never worked. I am looking back at the things that didn't work in the past and I am trying to readjust my thinking.

More to follow soon. Baby steps.
